James Mumm - organizer and writer

I am an organizer and student of the game of organizing. I’ve organized on the streets of Chicago and the Bronx and lead local and national organizations. The seed of Reviews for Radicals was planted twenty years ago when I wrote my first book review for Social Policy: Organizing for Economic and Social Justice magazine. I have now written dozens of reviews covering more than fifty books. Each quarter I write about one, two, three or more books in ways that draw out insights for organizers who may be either too busy to read the whole book or looking for inspiration for their next big read. My forthcoming podcast will start with audio version of the best of these reviews. Future episodes will feature conversations with authors to draw out even more of their lessons for organizers.

Feel free to contact me with ideas for reviews or authors for podcasts. OK, back to organizing!
